ABOUT MOUNTAIN VIEW CONTRACTING
Mountain View Contracting was founded in 2020 by Paul, a Central Victoria-based operator with a straightforward approach: get to the sites other contractors can’t reach, do the job properly, and make sure the results last.
We specialise in vegetation management and invasive weed control across the Macedon Ranges, Bendigo region, and wider Central Victoria. Gorse and blackberry are our bread and butter, but the work covers everything from grass slashing and earthmoving to pest management and pre-development property clearing.
THE ECO BLADE
The centrepiece of what we do is the Eco Blade: a tracked machine that cuts, mulches, and applies herbicide directly to the cut stump in a single pass. It is the most reliable method available for permanent gorse and blackberry control at scale, and it works on steep, wet, and hard-to-access terrain where conventional equipment cannot safely operate.
Our equipment
Post Track Loader, 5.5t Excavator, 1.7t Excavator, Tipper Truck, Eco Blade, and an 800L hand spray rig. All well maintained and ready to work.
Credentials & affiliations
We work alongside the Victorian Gorse Taskforce and have carried out vegetation management projects for Parks Victoria, Loddon Shire Council, and Forest Fire Management Victoria. Our project work has also been featured in a case study with the Bass Coast Landcare Network.
You will find us at the Seymour Alternative Farming Expo and Elmore Field Days each year, demonstrating the Eco Blade and talking through weed management with landholders from across Regional Victoria.
