Firebreak Construction IN Central Victoria
A clear firebreak can be the difference between a fire stopping at a boundary and spreading through a property. Mountain View Contracting constructs and maintains firebreaks and fence line clearance across the Macedon Ranges, Mitchell Shire, Ballarat, Bendigo region and wider Central Victoria, ahead of fire danger period each year. Straightforward work that makes a real difference when conditions turn — best done well ahead of the season while access and ground conditions are still easy to work with.

How It Works
A firebreak clears vegetation back to bare, mineral earth along a boundary or access track, removing the fuel a fire needs to carry across that line.
Victoria doesn't set one statewide firebreak width — councils issue their own fire prevention requirements, so we work to what your local council expects alongside what the terrain and vegetation on your property actually need. Other states commonly work to 10 to 15 metres on rural and pastoral blocks as a general guide.
Firebreaks are most effective done well before fire danger period starts, while ground conditions still make the work straightforward.
